Skowhegan Fairgrounds
33 Constitution Ave., Skowhegan
Accommodating thousands, the Skowhegan Fairgrounds is a unique venue that represents both Skowhegan’s history and the celebration of rural Maine life. The Skowhegan State Fair is the nation’s oldest continuously running agricultural fair, having celebrated 200 years in 2018. The fairgrounds will be the site of Skijor Skowhegan. Lake George Regional Park
Route 2, on the Skowhegan-Canaan line
This four-season park offers a serene lake; two beaches; playing fields; and extensive trails for hiking, walking, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing. During SnowFest Lake George will host an ice-fishing derby, box sled race, and more. FMI: Lake George Regional Park
Coburn Park
Water St., Skowhegan (approximately 0.5 miles east of downtown)
Donated to the town in 1885 by former Governor Abner Coburn, Coburn Park features more than 100 species of trees and shrubs, a waterlily pond with a fountain, walking paths, a gazebo, and several monuments illustrating the town’s heritage. During SnowFest, it will be the site of sledding and dogs sled rides. FMI: Coburn Park
Lakewood Golf Course
803 Lakewood Rd., Madison
After the golf course closes for the season, the ski and snowshoe trails open for winter wonderland fun! The trailhead is at the corner of Route 201 and Golf Course Road in Madison. Parking is available across the street. During SnowFest Lakewood will offer cross-country skiing and more. FMI: Lakewood Ski and Snowshoe Trails
The Miller’s Table at Maine Grains
42 Court St., Skowhegan
This farm-to-fork restaurant celebrates the cuisine of Maine and Quebec. Activities at the Miller’s Table will be fun and relaxing. FMI: The Miller’s Table
Skowhegan Community Center
39 Poulin Dr., Skowhegan
The community center features ball fields, basketball courts, a playground, a skate park, an indoor gym, and more. It will be the site of skating and more during SnowFest. FMI: Skowhegan Community Center
